CLINICAL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (CMIS)
DMS enriches the health industry through its series of clinical modules operating as stand-alone and/or integrated with DMS-HMIS (Hospital Management Information Systems) to automate the outpatient clinics in a hospital environment.
DMS is proud to introduce the CMIS with all its specialties that enable physicians to have the freedom to diagnose using the traditional way simulated by the mouse and drawing facilities such as stamps. Alternatively, use the predefined sheets for each specialty.
CMIS system is designed to handle all business and medical functions of a single or multi-clinic environment. Complete administrative and patient management functions come together in this unique system including the facilities that ease the storage and retrieval of patient’s X-rays, images and video archives.
Updating the patient’s information is easy too; either during or after an actual procedure; whereas the doctor can use simple point and click action to make changes directly to the patient’s chart. Moreover, as the system is fully integrated, a single entry automatically updates all related files assuring that the information will always be accurate and up-to-date.
CMIS Main Structure
- Administration Modules: provide all necessary functions needed to administrate the doctors’ clinic or center.
- Medical Management Modules: Enable the doctor to create and maintain records for each patient including the patients’ Medical history throughout the different visits.
- Patient Archives: Captures, stores, retrieves, and manages the patient’s images, voice, X-rays, videos and any digitized files that could be useful for future use.
- Plug-Ins: support some extended functions (Report Generator, Sheet Designer).
- The whole system is easy to customize; all data required by the clinic are entered during setup as requested by the user to suit his specific needs.
CMIS other Utilities
- Web utility
- Multi Architecture
- Statistics
- External Interfaces
- Backup and restore
- Security

DEVICE AND EQUIPMENT INTERFACING
There is no better software to help run your medical equipments more efficiently than DMS’ as a result of our proven track record, powerful feature functionality, and commitment to our product. DMS presents a unique interfacing with different devices and equipments:
Call Account
In most businesses, large and small, telecom voice and data services are not controlled and tracked. Telecom expense management is high on the corporate agenda today so having a good Call Accounting software system is vital to successfully control these expenses and decrease telephone operating costs.
DMS presents its professional Call Account system which is a Windows based software program that collects, analyzes, and reports on calling activities and creates bills for the charges of the calls done by a specific patient from inside the hospital. This is done by receiving a data stream from the central describing the call then passing this stream and calculating the charges according to the setup done by the user.
Smart Card
The patient’s entire medical history can be stored on a smart card which proves to be vital in case of emergencies or if the patient is to be treated elsewhere. Smart card has the ability to store profound information like the patient’s history with allergies which helps in saving plenty of time in critical situations. Information retrieved from the card is read as a text file, and every time the patient goes through a regular check-up, the card will be updated.
Lab Interface
HMIS Lab Interface is the link between the HMIS and the devices used in making lab investigations. This communication is done automatically where the HMIS system sends all investigation orders and requests related to the lab straight forward to the lab devices which in return issue the results of each investigation and send it again to the sheets specialized for keeping these results and save it in the patient’s medical record.
Wrist Band Interface (Labels Printing)
DMS-HMIS produces the patient’s labels, which are user-defined and may contain a BARCODE.
PACS Interface
The technology of acquiring, storing, retrieving, displaying, and distributing images has recently advanced. The push is towards enterprise-wide image management solutions, where digital images from radiology, cardiology, and other “ologies” are seamlessly linked with information from clinical information systems and other databases, and they are accessed seamlessly from a single point of end-user interaction.
DMS as a leading company in Healthcare systems introduced HMIS-RIS 5.02, an interface between HMIS and RIS. The used data format is a modified version of the w3c HL7 standard.
RFID Interface (Radio Frequency Identifications)
RFID is an enabling technology that saves lives, prevents errors, saves costs and increases security. It removes tedious procedures and provides patients with more freedom and dignity, so that it is replacing barcode technology. It consists of two main parts; RFID Reader and RFID Tags.
